Pet Licensing

Pet licensing makes the connection between a family and their beloved pet easy, and provides a quick and accurate way of helping furry family members find their way home in the event they get out. Starting August 2^nd, the Inland Valley Humane Society and S.P.C.A. (IVHS) will begin visiting neighborhoods citywide as part of its biennial pet license canvassing. This door-to-door contactless canvassing effort continues through Summer and is aimed at increasing pet licensing and rabies vaccination compliance. Canvassers will only be dropping off literature and not attempting face-to-face contact with residents. The literature will provide information on why and how to obtain or renew a license for the family dog(s) or cat(s).

In Diamond Bar, annual pet licenses and tags are required for both dogs and cats over the age of 4 months. Proof of current rabies vaccination is required for all dog licenses, and a spay/neuter certificate is required to obtain a license at a reduced fee.
