FISCAL NEW YEAR

July 1st marks the beginning of the new fiscal year. As you may be aware, the City Council recently adopted  a $31.5 Million Operating Budget and $9.3 Million Capital Improvement Program for Fiscal Year 22/23.  The budget provides a positive outlook to restore a wide range of City programs and services, advance deferred maintenance and Capital Improvement Projects, while focusing on key initiatives consistent with the City’s Strategic Plan. I am proud to stand behind the City’s budget-based priorities that will carry us through the next year. If you’d like to learn more about the City’s Budget and Capital Improvement Program, please feel free to review our new online interactive Budget Book located on the City website at:   https://www.diamondbarca.gov/176/Annual-Budget.

Our Concerts & Movies in the Park series continues this summer with fan-favorite bands, feature length movies and special events in recognition of Independence Day and National Night Out. Please join in the fun on Wednesdays through August 10, 2022 (except July 13th) at Summitridge Park. The concerts start at 6:30 pm, followed by a movie at approximately 8:15 pm.   Seating is outdoors on the grass, so chairs and blankets are suggested. Food trucks will be available to provide concessions. You are also welcome to bring your favorite snacks or picnic dinner from a local restaurant. Admission is free of charge. For additional information, please visit the City website at: https://www.diamondbarca.gov/1030/Concerts-in-the-Park.
