Happy New Year! On December 6, 2022, I was honored to have been selected to serve as your mayor for 2023. It is my belief that as council members, we are elected for one reason, and one reason only – and that is to serve our community. Our duty, and our obligation, starts and ends with our residents and businesses.
 
I am especially proud to serve our incredible community and look forward to the work ahead. Over the course of my term, one of my priorities is for the City to continue to engage the public in a variety of ways through outreach, communication, public events, and community meetings. The intention is to expand upon the excellent work of our City staff, as we all focus on additional public awareness and involvement opportunities.
 
Much progress has been made to engage the public in a variety of formats. A few examples include:

City Council Meetings– You may attend Council meetings virtually, submit comments, and ask questions without having to physically attend a meeting.

City Government Explained– The City is launching a new presentation series that will cover various aspects of Diamond Bar government and help residents better understand City government structure, areas of responsibility, how services and projects are funded, and how decisions are made.

Budget-In-Brief Summary– New for the FY 2022/2023 Adopted Budget is a summary that highlights General Fund revenues and expenditures, major projects and other high-level information about the City’s services via interactive reports that allows the reader to dive in and learn more about the budget in detail.

We will continue to strive to find creative ways to share information and provide opportunities to have your voices heard.
