Welcome to Weekly Highlights from City Hall - Each issue of this electronic bulletin will contain brief news and information about City programs, services and projects. 

City Council Reorganization

After officially declaring the results of the November 8, 2022 General Municipal Election at its regular December 6 meeting, Diamond Bar City Council held its annual reorganization.

At this reorganization, re-elected Council Members Steve Tye and Andrew Chou, and newly-elected Council Member Chia Yu Teng were sworn into office.

Parks and Recreation Department

Youth Basketball - Spots Still Open

Youth Basketball teams are currently being formed, and there are still spots available. Registration is open for the following divisions: 4-5 year-old, 6-7 year-old, 8-9 year- old, 10-11 year- old, and 12-13 year- old. The program runs from January 21 through March 11, 2023. Click here to register online. If you are interested in volunteering as a coach, complete the volunteer application form found on the City website program information page. 

Flag Football Registration Now Open

Youth Evolution Flag Football is designed for girls and boys to learn and develop football fundamentals with an emphasis on fun and fair play. This program is highly recommended for kids who want a safer alternative to contact leagues. The program will emphasize practicing good sportsmanship, the importance of dedication and more importantly, having fun! Three age groups will be offered; ages 6-7, ages 8-9 and ages 9-11. Click here to register online.

Tennis Classes Return January 2023

Classes range from beginner to advanced and are available for children age three and older! Check out each of the programs offered by Tennis Anyone and register you and the family today! Click here to register online. 

The Diamond Bar Center is available for private rentals, including weddings, meetings, corporate events and more!

Reservations may be made by Diamond Bar Residents up to 24 months in advance. Non-residents may book up to 20 months in advance.

Did you know?

-You can have a Food Truck at your next event! Food must be catered by a licensed caterer with a valid county-issued health permit. Food trucks would require a county-issued mobile food facility permit and rental of the outdoor Motor Court to be allowed on site.

-You can have a horse and carriage on site! Approval is required with proof of insurance and a refundable cleaning deposit. The horse must be handled by a trained animal handler at all times to ensure everyone’s safety.
