Movie Night this Saturday

Join us for the family friendly hit, "The Bad Guys” on Saturday, October 15 at Cottonwood Creek Park, located at 95 N. Vulcan Avenue. Come experience this premiere Encinitas park, participate in a pre-movie craft, and enjoy a night under the stars at this fun, free family event.

A perfect time to spend with your family and friends. Bring your blankets and low-backed chairs. Picnic items and drinks allowed, but please no glass containers. The movie begins just after dusk (approx. 7pm).

Dia de los Muertos

Thursday, Oct 27, 3-6pm - Encinitas Library Kickoff

Saturday, Oct 29, 3-5pm - Encinitas Community Center Event

Since 2014, the City of Encinitas Cultural Arts Division has partnered with Encinitas Friends of the Arts to present the annual Dia de los Muertos Festival as a way to foster appreciation and awareness of this significant Mexican cultural celebration through visual and performing arts.

This year's event will be begin at the Encinitas Library on Thursday, October 27, 3-6pm, with a community ofrenda, printmaking of ofrenda notecards for loved ones, and ballet folklorico performances. The festival culminates with a grand event at the Encinitas Community Center on Saturday, October 29, 12-4pm, with Danza Azteca, mariachi and ballet folklorico performances, facepainting, art projects, art show, community ofrenda, and the Callejeros de Encinitas Car Club. All activities are free and fun for all ages.
