Planning Commission Update 

On January 19, the Planning Commission approved a Housing Element site for the Saint Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church Senior Apartments. This project approval includes a Density Bonus, Design Review Permit, Major Use Permit Modification and Coastal Development Permit for the construction of a multi-family residential development consisting of 61 residential apartments with one- and two-bedroom units (49 market rate and 12 low-income units) within two residential buildings, private amenities and common open space, grading, landscaping improvements and the use of a temporary construction trailer. The project is also providing the following new streetscape improvements: curb and gutter, sidewalk and a landscaped parkway along Manchester Ave. and extending the Class II bike lane (buffered bike lane) on the west side of Manchester Ave. consistent with the Active Transportation Plan.
