Modal Alternatives Project Update

City Council will consider adoption of the Modal Alternatives Project (MAP Encinitas) plan at its upcoming Jan. 25 meeting. MAP Encinitas is the implementation phase of the Active Transportation Plan and will provide the city with a prioritized list of bike and pedestrian projects that reflect the community’s desires and values. SB 1383 Commercial Food Waste Prevention Webinar

California is leading our nation with groundbreaking legislation that addresses climate change by keeping organic materials out of our landfills. Encinitas Community Grant Program 2023-2024

Applications are now available for the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 City of Encinitas Community Grant Program. The program is supported by a General Fund allocation from the City of Encinitas and donors including the Ecke Family. The purpose of the program is to help nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations accomplish projects and programs in Encinitas which provide wide community benefit. Projects eligible for funding consideration will take place between July 1, 2023 and June 14, 2024. The maximum grant amount is $5,000. Prior applicants should note that the grant timeline is earlier than in prior years and the application has been updated. 

It is recommended that applicants attend the Grant Applicant Workshop this month via virtual teleconference. Email [email protected] to be sent a meeting invitation.

Time: 4-5 p.m.
