Purchase a Discounted Rain Barrel

Customers of San Dieguito Water District, Olivenhain Municipal Water District, Santa Fe Irrigation District and Carlsbad Municipal Water District can purchase discounted rain barrels and pick them up at the Solana Center for Environmental Innovation. Collecting rainwater for future use saves drinking water and money, and reduces irrigation runoff that can carry pollutants into local waterways and beaches.

To purchase a rain barrel, visit the Solana Center website.

Help Us Reduce Noise, Emissions and Dust

As of Jan. 20, 2020, gas-powered leaf blowers are prohibited from use in the City of Encinitas. Electric and battery-powered leaf blowers are available options. Permissible leaf blowers may be used between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Help us reach our goal of reducing local greenhouse gas emissions by 41% by 2030!
