Don’t Forget to Dispose Your Pumpkins in Your Green Bin!

As Halloween comes and goes, it is estimated that one billion pounds of pumpkins are sent to the landfill, doomed to rot and create greenhouse gases that will haunt our planet far beyond this spooky season! We have a solution that is scary easy, just place your pumpkins in your green cart! By disposing your pumpkin in the green cart, they will be picked up with your other curbside waste and recycling and processed by EDCO through their anaerobic digester to create renewable natural gas. Be sure to remove any candles or lights from the pumpkins, and please no plastic bags.
