EVANSTON, IL - As seasonal lifeguard and beach staff return to school each year, the City of Evanston adjusts beach operations at the end of the season to ensure that select locations have adequate staff to maintain public safety, manage admissions, and support daily operations.

Beginning Monday, August 15, swimming will only be available at Clark Street and Lee Street beaches for the remainder of the season (through September 5) during normal hours, 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Although swimming will not be permitted at beaches other than Clark Street and Lee Street, the public will have access to the sand area of all other beaches.

Daily beach passes will remain available for purchase through the end of the season. Church and Dempster Street Launch Facilities will operate normally.

The end-of-season hours for Lincoln Street Beach begin Monday, August 22. Daily hours are 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Beach tokens are accepted at Lincoln Street Beach. View the schedule.
