City Of Fair Oaks Ranch News : AquaHawk Monitoring Update

Government and Politics

February 9, 2023

Connectivity issues caused by the recent ice storm resulted in the City's AquaHawk monitoring system to lose transmission capabilities on February 1, 2023..........

The City of Fair Oaks Ranch was made aware on February 1, 2023 that City servers were affected by the power outages due to the ice storm.  Once our servers were back up and online these outages continued to create connectivity issues with the City's water monitoring system AquaHawk that prevented meter reading data from being transmitted.  The individual meters themselves were working fine and recording all usage, but we found that the program was not transmitting data out to the external monitoring system.

Fortunately, our Information Technology (IT) team members have been working diligently with our product and server vendors to troubleshoot the connectivity issues and were able to get this system back online and transmitting data as of today, February 8, 2023.

We are still currently waiting for AquaHawk to process the data between February 1st and February 7th for residents to view their usage. We are excited that the system is once again processing information for our residents and we thank each of you for your patience.

Please know that our team is continuing to work with AquaHawk to upload those missing days worth of data, but we are happy to announce that this will be resolved as soon as possible!
