Celebrate Black History  -  February 1, 2023

Black History is American History

Black Chamber of Commerce President Tamuri Richardson and Tri-valley NAACP President Nikila Gibson joined the Communications team for a "Words with Way" podcast to commemorate Black History Month.

During the podcast both leaders discussed the valuable roles their organizations play not only in empowering businesses, but uplifting the entire community. They also spoke about the importance of mutual respect, education, and celebrating Black history as American history.

Council Retreat this Weekend

Fairfield City Council will hold their Council Retreat Special Meetings this weekend to provide direction on the organization’s goals and key projects that will guide the budget and employee activities.

The meetings will be held in person only and the public is highly encouraged to attend.

The retreat schedule is as follows:

Council Retreat Day 1

Friday, February 3, 2023, 5-8 p.m.

Council Retreat Day 2

Saturday, February 4, 2023, 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.

Both sessions will be held at the Police Training Facility, 1717 Rex Clift Lane, Fairfield
