There are many benefits for landlords: 1) Timely payments of the subsidy portion will be made to you every month (the participant is responsible for the balance); 2) Maintenance - participants are required by the HCV program's Family Obligation to maintain and keep your unit up to standards (inspections will be conducted); and 3) Income-based pricing - if the participant's income decreases, the amount of the housing subsidy will increase.
