Fairfield Recycling Guide

The Fairfield Recycling Guide is an online tool that allows residents and businesses to easily see what materials are recyclable and/or compostable, and how to properly dispose of this waste by using the right container.

The Recycling Guide also has tips and tricks for residents to alternatively reuse or recycle their waste, as well as the locations to drop off hard-to-dispose items.

The Fairfield Recycling Guide can be accessed by scanning the QR code above, or clicking on the link below.

For questions related to the Recycling Guide or for general questions regarding solid waste and recycling, please contact the Fairfield Public Works Department, Solid Waste Division at (707) 428-7528.

Public Utility Master Plan - PUMP

Water infrastructure is vital to the prosperity of our state and local economy and continued investment in our local water system will help keep Fairfield businesses and families thriving.

On December 6, 2022, the Fairfield City Council authorized staff to move forward with assembly of the FMU water master plan with the intent to establish a comprehensive capital improvement program over the next two decades.

The master plan, or “PUMP” (Public Utility Master Plan) will identify and prioritize major categories of projects across the entire water system, and serve as a planning tool to ensure our water system remains adequately funded for decades to come.
