The Fairfield Community Services Foundation will host a free Back-to-School Backpack and Food Giveaway in partnership with the City of Fairfield Quality of Life Task Force and local community partners. The Task Force utilizes existing City services in partnership with local, broad-based coalitions sharing the same objective: to create and preserve a desirable and thriving community for all Fairfield residents. The primary focus of the event is to provide free backpacks, school supplies, and bags of food to those in need. The event will take place on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Bethel Community Church at 600 East Tabor Avenue in Fairfield.

The event is presented by the Fairfield Community Services Foundation in partnership with Bethel Community Church, Macy’s, Kaiser Permanente, Richards, Watson and Gershon, Touro University, Republic Services, Syar Industries, Waste Connections, and the City of Fairfield Quality of Life Task Force including City Manager’s Office, Police and Fire. Attendees can drive or walk up to the location to receive supplies. Children must be present to receive backpacks. The event is on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. No registration is required. It’s community partnerships like these that make a huge impact in improving the quality of life for Fairfield residents.

For additional information or to register to volunteer on August 5 (to help prep) or August 6 (for the event), please contact Sullina Sanchez at (707) 428-7729 or email [email protected].
