Allan Witt Park Tennis Courts Resurfacing Project starts June 27, 2022

On May 3, City Council awarded a contract for the Allan Witt Community Park Tennis Courts Resurfacing Project (Project) to First Serve Production, Inc. (First Serve) from Meadow Vista, California, in the amount of $349,620.72. Construction for the project is slated to begin on June 27 and continue through the end of July. There are a few items, such as trash cans, futsal goals, and windscreens, with long lead times that may need to be installed after the majority of the work has been completed. For the public’s safety the courts will be closed during construction.  Players are encouraged to utilize the tennis courts at Cordelia Community Park during this time.

The project consists of resurfacing the existing playing surface and upgrading the fencing and benches at the courts. The project will renovate the northerly four existing tennis courts into independent pickleball courts (total of 16), renovate three tennis courts as independent tennis courts, and renovate the remaining tennis court into an independent futsal court. Construction is anticipated to be completed in the summer.
