Fairfield celebrates Water Professionals Appreciation Week Oct. 1-9, 2022

California’s sixth annual Water Professionals Week will kick off October 1, 2022, and run through October 9, 2022.  Water Professionals Appreciation Week was established through Senate Resolution 80 by Senator Bill Dodd (D-Napa) and highlights the important role of water and wastewater industry professionals in ensuring safe and reliable water and wastewater operations.  Additionally, it is also an opportunity to showcase careers in the water industry.

The City of Fairfield depends on dozens of licensed operations, engineers, and administrative professionals to reliably operate City-owned water and wastewater facilities around the clock to ensure high-quality customer service.  As part of the celebration, City Council will deliver a proclamation on October 4, 2022, followed by additional outreach and promotional activities highlighting the importance of water professionals and career opportunities in the water industry.
