Computer Center for Seniors to open at City of Fairfield’s Adult Recreation Center

The much-anticipated opening of the Computer Center at the Fairfield Adult Recreation Center is scheduled to take place on October 19, 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The event will feature a variety of guests and dignitaries who have supported the creation of the Center. Joining the festivities and instrumental to funding and launching the Computer Center are the Friends of the Fairfield Senior Center. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony and light refreshments will be served.

The Computer Center will provide drop-in opportunities for adults aged 50 and up to use the technology as needed for internet research, accessing basic services, resource identification, and social communication. Additionally, it is expected that the Center will offer classes and seminars on rudimentary computer skills, introductions to the internet and safe practices, Microsoft applications, and more!
