Tree Lighting this Friday, December 2!

The Christmas tree will be on Texas Street, between the blocks of Union Avenue and Madison Street. Mayor Harry Price will light the tree at 6:30 p.m.

Festivities following the lighting ceremony include musical performances, a trackless train, hot cocoa, and more! Frozen sisters Elsa and Anna will attend, as well as Santa for photos with children.

Come downtown and bring the family for a great time!

Dog Daze Sweater Contest

The last Dog Daze event of the year is on Tuesday, December 6th at Allan Witt Dog Park. Come take part in some festive fun with your furry friends!

Dogs and owners can partner to compete in a holiday sweater contest. Categories include; most festive, funniest, and ugliest sweaters. Each category will be judged for a prize!

Come meet some new furry friends from 10AM-11AM at the Allan Witt Dog Park!

10th Annual Coat & Toy Drive

The Fairfield Community Services Foundation is hosting its 10th Annual Coat and Toy Drive, along with the Fairfield Fire and Police departments.

Donations of new coats and new unwrapped toys for kids ages 3-15 years are being accepted until December 16, 2022.

Second Annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony

The City of Fairfield, in partnership with the Chabad of Solano County, announces the second annual Fairfield Menorah Lighting Ceremony, located in Downtown Fairfield. The event will take place on Wednesday, December 21 and begin at 5:30 pm. It will be held on the County Lawn at the corner of Texas and Jefferson Streets. Rabbi Zaklos and the Fairfield Mayor will light the Menorah during the evening ceremony. 

Festivities following the lighting ceremony include family entertainment, hot latkes, donuts, and Chanukah cookies. Free and fun for the whole family. Rain or shine!

Cement Hill Roadwork Starts Next Week

Public Works will be working on Cement Hill Road starting on December 5 through December 16, between Portland Drive and Noonan Lane. Hours will be from 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Crew will start at Portland Drive and head eastbound.  

Heavy delays may occur during construction, and drivers are encouraged to avoid Cement Hill Road, if possible. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve this roadway. Please plan accordingly, be patient, and drive safely!
