The proposed project is a 1.5 mile bike and pedestrian trail system from the Travis AFB Main Gate to the Hannigan Train Station on Vanden Road. This trail will provide a means for residents on Travis AFB, as well as adjacent residential subdivisions, to walk or bike to three schools (Vanden High School, Golden West Middle School and Center Elementary School).

Connections to transit services for surrounding residents will also be available as the trail provides a direct route from Travis AFB to the Hannigan Train Station. The trail is a system of both on- and off-street segments and will include paving, road widening, sidewalk expansion, traffic striping & channelization, pathway lighting and provisions for security cameras.
