MOD Receive Star Awards

The States of California & Nevada Chapter of the National Association of Telecommunication Officers and Advisors,
SCANNATOA holds the annual Star Awards to recognize excellence in government programming.
Fairfield Marketing & Outreach received a total of eight awards, including two coveted Star Awards for a business profile video for local beverage company Ginsation and the 2020 LNU Complex fire.

Natural Expression

In conjunction with the Solano Land Trust, Poet Laureate Suzanne Bruce will be hosting a “Hike and Write” event in Patwino Worrtla Kodoi Dihi Open Space Park (formerly Rockville Hills Preserve) on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Travis Visits Plane on a Stick

City of Fairfield and Travis Air Force Base officials attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new “I-80 Plane on a Stick” unique billboard on Red Top Road along I-80 on September 29.

Mayor Harry T. Price opened the ceremony and thanked everyone in attendance to launch this one-of-a-kind billboard, which holds many benefits. He stated, “It will provide a significant source of revenue for the city of Fairfield, while sending a loud and clear message to the hundreds of thousands of motorists that they are entering the home of Travis Air Force Base.”
