City of Fontana Celebrates July as Park and Recreation Month

Month-long celebration highlights the impact parks and recreation has on the Fontana community.

Fontana, Calif. – (July 6, 2023) – This July, join the City of Fontana for Park and Recreation Month, as we celebrate how Fontana is stronger, more vibrant, and more resilient because of parks and recreation. A variety of activities are planned for residents of all ages and abilities — including Family Fun Nights, Dive-In Movie Nights, Summer Day Camps, Recreational Swim, Fontana Walks! and more. The City of Fontana is celebrating Park and Recreation Month, an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), by inviting our community to share how parks and recreation has benefitted them and positively impacted their quality of life. With everything from over 50 parks and facilities, and thousands of program opportunities including classes, art, and events there are plenty of ways that you can celebrate!

For July 2023, be sure to check the website Recreation.FontanaCA.gov to participate in one of the many events or programs the Community Services Department has planned which include:

Summer Concert Series

- Recreational Swim at Fontana Park Aquatic Center, Don Day, Heritage, and Miller Pools
