THANK YOU, GEORGE!

The City of Frisco's first city manager, George Purefoy, is retiring at the end of the month after 34 years of service. Under his strong, determined and humble leadership, Frisco has grown from a population of 5,000 in 1987 to more than 220,000 residents today. Frisco has also experienced explosive commercial growth with major office centers, sale tax-boosting retail and sports complexes built through public-private partnership during his tenure.

An informal, public reception to honor George's leadership will happen as part of the next City Council meeting on June 21, at approximately 6:30 p.m., inside the atrium of the building that bears his name, the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center (6101 Frisco Square Blvd.).
