Expect Pedestrians, Traffic in Toyota Stadium Area

Football fans will have eyes on #SportsCityUSA this Sunday as North Dakota State (3) faces South Dakota State (1) for the NCAA FCS DI Championship at Toyota Stadium. Whether you're attending or watching from home, here are some key things to know:  

The game kicks off at 1 p.m. locally and airs on ABC (WFAA/Channel 8).

Expect traffic around Toyota Stadium and a few area road closures [Traffic advisory

- Consider downloading Waze to help get around any delays.

Limited number of tickets available through the NCAA Ticket Exchange.

Regular tailgating will be available (ticket or no ticket) outside of Toyota Stadium. View the stadium's parking map and find tips for parking, tailgating and getting to the game

- Be in the clear! Toyota Stadium will strictly enforce a clear bag policy. See examples of approved and prohibited bags.

Go Behind the Scenes with City Hall 101
Spring Classes Start January 23

Register for our next City Hall 101 for a chance to learn more about what it takes to run one of the fastest growing cities in the country. This free 12-week program is open to Frisco residents 18 and older. Classes begin on January 23, meeting on Monday evenings from 6-8 p.m. 

Class participants learn from city leaders, department directors and key staff about what it takes to plan for Frisco's growth, to maintain our roads and parks and to keep our city a safe place to live, plus many more topics.

Class size will be limited to 40 participants. Registration opens at 5 p.m. - don't miss out! Learn more and register online.

May 2023 General Election: Candidate Packet Now Online

On May 6, Frisco residents will be able to vote in the City's General Election. The election is for the positions of Frisco City Council Member Place 5, Council Member Place 6, and Mayor. 

Interested in running for office? The Candidate Packet is now available for download. The packet includes information about eligibility requirements, required forms, and important deadlines. 

The City Secretary's Office will begin accepting applications for a place on the ballot beginning Wednesday, January 18, 2023 and ending Friday, February 17, 2023 at 5 p.m. For more information, see the Elections web page.
