The City of Gaithersburg’s Cultural Arts Advisory Committee (CAAC) invites artists to submit their qualifications to be considered for public art projects within the Art in Public Places Program (AIPP). Apply online here

Artists must have experience creating public artwork, working with the community on public art projects, and ideally, as part of public art projects with adults and/or youth applicants, should have arts education experience. The Committee is interested in different types of media and approaches to art, including sculpture, murals, environmental artwork, etc. Budgets for upcoming projects range from $2,500 to $50,000 all-inclusive of design, creation and installation of artwork.

The CAAC seeks to promote artistic expression within the Gaithersburg community and creative excellence from artists of all media and incorporate artwork into the built and natural environment.

All applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023. The application form and further detailed information may be found here.  A link may also be found on the City of Gaithersburg website here. Questions may be directed to [email protected].
