GPD offering $5 off safe rides for Mardi Gras weekend

After the success of last weekend, the Galveston Police Department is again offering our $ 5 off safe rides program!

The Lyft Pass is valid from Friday, February 17 at 7 p.m. through Sunday, February 19 at 7 a.m. and is available while supplies last. Lyft Passes are valid with the Lyft app only, and the code is "GPDRIDE"

To access your Lyft Pass, open the Lyft app, tap to the menu option, and tap 'Payment', then tap 'Add Lyft Pass. Enter the pass "GPDRIDE" and $5 will apply to your ride during the specific times.

Outside of rideshare programs, we highly encourage you to utilize a designated driver, or local cab services on the island. We also ask to keep our 9-1-1 line clear for emergencies only.
