Springtime Water Saving Tips

As we prepare to enter into the warmer weather months, it’s time to start thinking about our water use.

Install drip irrigation for your gardens

Adjust sprinkler heads to avoid watering the pavement.

Use a broom instead of a hose to clean yard clippings off sidewalks and pathways.

Water your plants in the early morning or late evening when the temperature is cooler.

Let's make this spring a season of water conservation!

Grow Your Garden with Greywater

GWP's Laundry to Landscape Greywater System program offers a rebate of up to $500 to residents who install a laundry to landscape greywater system that does not require a City permit.

These systems are designed to reuse the water from a washing machine to water your plants. It provides for an efficient means to irrigate plants in your landscape, and provides natural groundwater recharge. By participating, Glendale residents can make a positive impact on the environment while also saving money on their water bills.
