The City of Greenville’s W. Walworth Harrison Public Library has received accreditation for SFY 2023 from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC). TSLAC has accredited libraries since 1971.

Public libraries can receive accreditation annually and become fully qualified as a member of the Texas Library System. The W. Walworth Harrison Public Library has been accredited for over 32 years.

As a system member, the benefits of accreditation include access to statewide interlibrary loan (ILL)e-rate, grant and other funding opportunities, TexShare card and database programs, continuing education including TexShare Training, E-Read Texas, E-Books, E-Reader Application, technology, and E-Rate resources, and youth and teen programs.
