Inputs information into the City’s GIS. Produces maps using ESRI software. Utilizes various equipment including large scanner, plotter, copier, and GPS. Works with departments to design and produce GIS data layers and analysis. Interacts with the public to provide GIS products for their use. Maintains the GIS servers that house and serve data to internal and external users. Provides planning and guidance to other GIS technicians. Provides database support and reports using Crystal Reports. Plans/Implements/Operates required virtual servers and MS/ESRI software to provide GIS data storage and distribution. Creates custom web mapping content for internal and public consumption. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED; Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field; 3 years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
