Water Conservation

With the high temperatures we are experiencing, it's important that we continue to do our part to help conserve water. Now is a great time to brush up on the guidelines when it comes to irrigation or sprinkler systems:

- There is no watering with irrigation systems or sprinkler systems between 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Although there are two allowable days, you don't have to water if your landscape does not need it.
- Watering by hand-held hose, drip irrigation or soaker hose is allowed at any time.
- No more than two hours per day maximum is encouraged.

Utility Billing Payments: Risk of Using Third-Party Bill Management

The City of Hurst Utility Billing Department offers many payment avenues for its customers including pay by phone, pay online, a drive-up window and more. That being said, it is important to understand there are third-party websites that present themselves as a City of Hurst payment platform. A payment made through these third-party sites may get to the billing department much slower than if made on the City’s online payment platform and may also carry a large processing fee. The City’s online payment platform is free to use and does not charge a fee for payment made.

We recommend paying for your utility bill through our online portal. You can also set up an automatic draft so you never miss a due date. There is also the option of paying over the phone through our new Interactive Voice Response phone system by calling 817-788-7040 and selecting 1 or by coming in person to the Utility Billing office.
