City Council Meeting January 10

City Council will meet on January 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Hurst City Hall. Agendas are posted the Friday before each meeting by 4 p.m.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection

Bring your household hazardous waste on January 7 from 8-11 a.m. to the Service Center (2001 Precinct Line Rd.) along with an ID and Hurst water bill. A list of accepted items is available on our website by clicking the button below.

Document shredding will be available. Three (3) box limit, no larger than 15" x 12" x 10" accepted. Limited space. First come, first served.

6Stones will be on-site during the event collecting clothing donations from Hurst residents.

Daddy Daughter Dance Tickets Now Available!

The City of Hurst Daddy Daughter Dance is an afternoon full of dancing, photos, and activities that will make your daughter feel like the princess she is!

And it just so happens that this year’s theme is "A Whole New World," a magical combination that is sure to create lasting memories for you and your little girl.

Girls ages 3-14 are invited to attend with their fathers or male guardians on Saturday, February 4 from 4-6 p.m. at the Hurst Senior Activities Center (700 Heritage Circle, Hurst, 76053).

Fees:
Dad & Daughter Couple: $40
Additional Daughter: $20

Upcoming Police Officer Test

Another opportunity to take our police officer test is on January 14.

Hiring salary: $77,376 Post-probation salary: $84,718

Applicants must pre-register for the Police Officer Entrance Examination and apply for the Police Officer position online.

Non-emergency city facilities will be closed in observance of the MLK Holiday on Monday, January 16, 2023.

Hurst Recreation Center will be open during regular hours (5:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.). Recreation classes will meet as usual with the exception of fitness (Class Pass) classes. For questions, please contact the Recreation Center staff at 817-788-7320.

Hurst Tennis Center will be open during regular hours (8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 5-9 p.m.).

Trash and recycling are unaffected by this holiday. Service normally provided Monday through Friday will be on regular schedule.
