The Cities of Hurst, Euless, and Bedford have partnered with the HEB Chamber of Commerce for the annual Youth in Government program. This program was developed to engage young people in city government and their communities while providing multiple scholarships to deserving participants.

The program will meet twice a month on Monday nights between January and April. Each session is 1.5 hours long and covers various topics, such as the importance of voting and elections, police and fire department services, potential career fields, community service, and much more.

Youth in Government applicants must be a junior or senior in high school by January 1 and live in Hurst, Euless, or Bedford. However, students do not need to be enrolled in HEB ISD.

Ambulance Subscription Service

The City of Hurst is offering citizens an ambulance subscription service to help offset costs of emergency ambulance transportation. Insurance companies routinely do not pay the entire amount of ambulance transportation, leaving the patient with the responsibility of paying the balance of the bill. The purpose of the subscription service is to cover the amount not covered by your insurance provider or Medicare. If a person does not have health care insurance, this program covers emergency medical services delivered prior to hospital arrival. For $60 per year per family, you will never have to worry about paying an ambulance bill. Medicaid Recipients are not eligible for this program. Applications are now open through December 31, 2022.
