Fireworks Safety

We want you to enjoy your holiday weekend and for it to be a safe one! While fireworks are allowed in the unincorporated areas, they are prohibited inside city limits. Leaving the fireworks to the professionals is the best way to enjoy your holiday while protecting people, pets, and homes. Yes pets! Our shelter has an increase in dog population each July 4. As a reminder, fireworks are not permitted within the city limits of Hurst, with violators potentially being fined up to $2,000.

Non-emergency city facilities will be closed in observance of the Independence Day holiday Monday, July 4. Trash and recycling are unaffected by this holiday closure.
