Last week, an open house for River Forest Park was held at the NKC Parks & Recreation Center to provide an opportunity for participants to view and discuss conceptual drawings based on the feedback gathered during the River Forest Park Feasibility Study.  If you missed the open house, you can still review conceptual information and provide your feedback via this online survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HVLKRMZ. -On Tuesday, the NorthRail Streetcar Feasibility Study team presented preferred route options, Heart of America bridge use, and connections to the downtown Streetcar line information at an open house event.  If you missed the open house, you can view the information shared at the meeting by visiting https://kcstreetcar.org/about-streetcar/northrail/.

-For the first time in the history of the North Kansas City Police Department, all three patrol districts on one shift were staffed by some of our awesome female officers.  Do you know someone interested in a law enforcement career with NKCPD check out the following link, https://www.nkc.org/government/human-resources/job-openings  Photo attached.

-A special reminder as we celebrate Independence Day – it is unlawful for any person to keep, sell or use fireworks in North Kansas City.  To report illegal fireworks, please call the police non-emergency line at 816-274-6013.

- City offices will be closed on Monday, July 4 in observation of Independence Day. 

-July’s Friday Night Concert will be Friday, July 8, from 7-9 p.m. at the Macken Park Festival Shelter featuring Rock and Roll Never Forgets, a Bob Segar Tribute band. 

-The Tim C. Crummett Family Charitable Fund Projects Committee is conducting a Call to Artists for a new, site-specific, original public art mural.  This project has a $15,000 budget.  The Call to Artists Packet can be found at www.nkc.org/publicart.
