Government and Politics

From: City of Laguna Niguel

Hello Laguna Niguel,

One of the City’s most distinguished assets is the many businesses that choose to do business in Laguna Niguel. Our City offers a wide selection of local businesses such as authentic restaurants, small ‘momand-pop’ shops, and national chains. As many of you may agree our local businesses do such an exceptional job providing consumers with high-quality services and goods.

The Laguna Niguel City Council has consistently supported business-friendly ideas, initiatives, and policies that aim to help our incredible business community to thrive. This is a staple practice deeply rooted into the City’s identity because of the immense value and the critical role a strong business community plays in contributing to the City’s health and vitality.

As your Mayor, I am proud to continue to offer and promote a business-friendly environment that fosters economic development and prosperity. If you are a local business owner and have any questions or need any assistance, I encourage you to contact our Economic Development Team at [email protected] or (949) 362-4300. Our team is here to assist you.

As I have mentioned in a past Mayor’s Message, I aim to adjourn each City Council Meeting with the 'Mayor's Mention', a special recognition presentation intended to highlight some of the amazing local businesses located here in the City.

This month’s ‘Mayor’s Mention’ includes Asian Kitchen, located at 30271 Golden Lantern Suite D, and Sunny Side Up Doughnuts, located at 30251 Golden Lantern Suite C. For the month of February, you can receive 20% off your order at Asian Kitchen and/or receive a free donut at Sunny Side Up Doughnuts by simply saying that you saw the ‘Mayor’s Mention’.

In addition to great businesses, we have amazing volunteers in our city. This month you can learn how to help support the Sea Country Festival have another successful year. The Parks and Recreation Department is hosting an informational meeting for all volunteers interested in helping. The meeting will be held at the Crown Valley Community Center on Monday, February 27th at 6:00 pm.

As I recognize the positive impact our business community has on our City, I encourage you to always support our local businesses as they support our local events.

Sandy Rains Mayor, City of Laguna Niguel
