August Highlights

Sea Country Festival
The City of Laguna Niguel’s Park and Recreation Department will be hosting a 3-day festival starting Friday, August 25 through Sunday, August 27!

Bring your friends and family to experience this end-of-summer event with music, rides, games, food, and much more! This is a free entry event with a few nominal fees for attractions and food available for purchase.

Pre-sale wristbands will go on sale starting Tuesday, August 1 through Thursday, August 24 at $35 each. Tickets can be purchased at the Crown Valley Community Center from Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Wristbands include rides only. Game tickets and food to be sold separately.

Event Location for the Sea Country Festival will be held on Dorine and El Lazo in between the Laguna Niguel Design Center and the Chet Holifield Federal Building.

Sprayground

Monday - Sunday, 10am - 4pm

Crown Valley Park

FREE

The Laguna Niguel Sprayground at Crown Valley Park is NOW open daily from 10am - 4pm.

The Sprayground is also available for private party rentals of 25 people or less after regular operating hours.

Summer Trolley

Crown Valley Park & City Hall (to the beach!)

Seeking sun and fun this summer? Ready to get out of the house?

Service is FREE and is offered Thursday-Sunday, with connections to the free Dana Point and Laguna Beach trolleys.

Don't forget to participate in the Summer Trolley Stamp Card contest, details can be found on the website above. Please stop by the Summer Trolley information table at the Summer Concerts and pick up some free Summer Trolley sunglasses and Chapstick.

Sea Country Festival - Wristband Sales

Tuesday, Aug 1 - Thursday, Aug 24, 8am - 5pm

Crown Valley Community Center

Cost: $35/$40 (day of)

Pre-sale wristbands will be on sale for the Sea Country Festival from Tuesday, August 1st, through Thursday, August 24th, at $35 each per day. They will be available for in-person purchase at the Crown Valley Community Center.

Wristbands will also available for purchase at the Festival for $40 each per day.

Please note, wristbands include rides only. Food will be available for purchase and game participation to be purchased separately.

Fall Class Registration

Opens Tuesday, Aug 1

Fall Classes open on Tuesday, August 1! Sign up at online or in-person at one of our Community Centers.

This fall’s classes include sports, art, dance, and the ever-popular Pumpkin Succulent Workshop!

Summer Skate Camp

Tuesday, Aug 1 - Friday, Aug 4, 9am - 12pm

Laguna Niguel Skate Park

Cost: $195

Join Basics of Skateboarding at the Laguna Niguel Skate Park!

Camps run Tuesday - Friday from 9am - 12pm for $195. Average camp ratio is 6 students per 1 instructor.

Please note a $10 insurance fee is due to instructor on the first day of class, insurance fee is good for up to 3 months.

Timeless Melodies

Cost: $5
Take a musical trip down memory lane and learn about famous Italian Pop stars from yesteryear!
Sea Country Senior Center presents Timeless Melodies, hosted by Larry Maurer on Tuesday, August 1 from 1:30 to 2:30pm.
The presentation costs $5 and includes refreshments, music, short videos, and photos of the most beloved Italian singers.

Spend a fun afternoon at the movies with friends at the Sea Country Senior and Community Center!
Sea Country Cinema presents "80 for Brady" starring Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, Sally Field and Tom Brady on Tuesday, August 8 at 1pm.
The show is free and includes popcorn and a beverage.
Please note, you must be 50+ to participate.

Calling all Volunteers! Do you want to give back to the community and have fun doing it?!

Sign up to volunteer at the Sea Country Festival, Friday, August 25 - Sunday, August 27. An informational meeting will be held Thursday, August 10 at 5pm at the Crown Valley Community Center.

Summer Concert: Get Nervous

Crown Valley Park Amphitheater

Concerts take place from 6:30-8pm at Crown Valley Park Amphitheater. Blankets and low back chairs may be placed out beginning at 6am on concert days.

Additional parking and a complimentary shuttle is available from 5:30 - 9:30pm from City Hall – 30111 Crown Valley Parkway.

Movie in the Park: Big Hero 6

Pack your blanket and bring your friends and family for a movie under the starts at Crown Valley Park!
We will be screening the movie, Big Hero 6. Crafts and activities begin at 7:30pm, movie screening will start after sunset (est. 8:00pm).

National Senior Citizens Day

The Sea Country Senior and Community Center invites all adults age 50+ to celebrate National Senior Citizens Day with us on Monday, August 21 from 1-2pm with a free frozen treat and a small gift (while supplies last).
