Veterans Day Events & Ceremony

Monday, Oct. 31 - Friday, Nov. 11

Join us for a Veterans Day ceremony at the Sea Country Senior and Community Center, Friday, November 11 at 11am to honor all those who have served to protect our liberty and defend our freedom.

Additional events include a Digital Veterans Salute, "A Proud Veteran Lives Here" yard signs, and a chalk wall will be available to residents to share their appreciation for those who have served.

Veterans Day Digital Salute

Monday, Oct. 24 - Friday, Nov. 11

FREE

The City honors the brave men and women who have made sacrifices to protect our country and has created the Digital Veterans Salute Program to recognize these important members of our community.

If you are a veteran or know a loved one who has served, please request, and submit a completed application to [email protected] Submit applications by Wednesday, November 2. The City will recognize these individuals on our city's website.

Veterans Day Chalk Wall

Monday, Oct. 31 - Friday, Nov. 11

Stop by the City of Laguna Niguel's Sea Country Senior & Community Center beginning Monday, October 31 - Friday, November 11 to sign our Veterans Chalk Wall and express your appreciation to those who have served in the military. 

This chalk wall will be stationed outside of the Sea Country Center Monday-Friday from 9:00am-4:00pm.

We highly recommend bringing your own chalk to write, however chalk will be available for use. This chalk wall will be featured during the Veterans Day Celebration. So, drop by the center to write thankful messages to our veterans.

Timeless Melodies: Salute to Veterans

Tuesday, Nov. 1, 1:30pm - 2:30pm

Cost: $5

Join us Tuesday, November 1 at the Sea Country Senior and Community and take a trip down memory lane and learn about famous stars from yesteryear. Find out more about their lives and learn interesting facts and insights. The Timeless Melodies presentations include music, short videos, and historical pictures from the past.

This is an age 50+ activity.

Fire Prevention Workshop

Tuesday, Nov. 1, 6pm - 7pm

FREE

Learn how to best prepare for any disaster with the FREE Fire Safety & Prevention Workshop brought to you by the Orange County Fire Authority. Create a Disaster Action Plan and prep your house/car before a disaster even strikes.

This workshop will take place at the Crown Valley Community Center at 6pm on Tuesday, November 1.

National Sandwich Day

"Lettuce" invite you to grab a sandwich and have lunch with us at the Sea Country Senior and Community Center!

Don't get in a pickle and be late, come at 12pm for a bite on us! First come, first served, while supplies last.

Low Cost Pet Vaccine Clinic

Saturday, Nov. 5 @ 8am

Cost Varies

Saturday, November 5 from 8 am – 10 am, we are offering a Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic for canines and felines at the Sea Country Senior & Community Center Parking Lot.  

Keep your pets safe and healthy while saving yourself money! Individual vaccinations and microchips are available as well as Vaccination Packs, Wellness Services, Exams, and Prescriptions. Only $14 for a Rabies vaccine! No appointment is needed. Dogs are to be kept on a leash and cats transported in their crate.

Fall Skate Camp

Saturday, Nov. 5, 12, 19, & 26, 9am - 11am

Cost: $185

The Laguna Niguel Skate Park in partnership with Basics of Skateboarding is now offering a Fall Skate Camp. Camps will take place on Saturday's through November. 

Please note, a $10 insurance fee is due to instructor on first day of class.

Jr. Civic Workshop

Tuesday, Nov. 8, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

FREE

The City of Laguna Niguel welcomes all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to attend monthly Jr. Civic Workshops on the second Tuesday of each month and learn about their local government, while earning community service hours. In November, our guest speaker will be Police Services: Auxiliary Communication Group, and Sheriff's Explorers.

We recommend arriving at 6:15pm to check in and find a seat before the workshop begins at 6:30pm.

Bourbon Steakhouse

Thursday, Nov. 10, 6pm - 9pm

Learn the art of cooking the perfect steak, topped off with sweet & savory honey bourbon butter.

Veterans Day Ceremony

Friday, Nov. 11 @ 11am

FREE

Join us for a Veterans Day Ceremony at the Sea Country Senior and Community Center to honor all those who have served to protect our liberty and defend our freedom. 

This year's featured guest speaker will be U.S Air Force Major General (Ret), William J. Mall Jr.

The ceremony will also include a Color Guard presentation, recognition of Veterans in attendance, and light refreshments. Doors will open at 10:30am.

Medicare Clinic

Monday, Nov. 14 @ 10am

Get help reviewing your 2023 Medicare Coverage and Plans. Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is open now - December 7.

Each year, Medicare beneficiaries should review and compare their coverage and plans to determine if their current options will meet their needs in the new year. During this period, beneficiaries can change Part D prescription drug plans; Medicare Advantage plans; and switch between Original/Traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage coverage.

State-registered HICAP counselors are available to assist you with understanding coverage options and to provide you with comparisons of plans and coverage.

You can schedule an in-person appointment at our AEP Clinic scheduled for November 14, at Sea County Senior Center by calling 949-425-5151.

Letters to Santa

Begins Monday, Nov. 14 

FREE

Would you like to receive a letter from Santa? Santa has asked us to help him by collecting letters in our “North Pole” mailbox inside the Crown Valley Community Center. We will then forward the letters to the North Pole for a response from Santa.

You may also mail your letters to:

Santa will be able to:

- Write one return letter per family at one address in Laguna Niguel.

- Write one return letter per classroom in Laguna Niguel.

Wellness Workshop

Wednesday, Nov. 16, 5pm - 6pm

The City of Laguna Niguel, in partnership with the Wellness and Prevention Center, welcomes all 7th to 12th graders to join us this school year for all

new Wellness Workshops!

You will have the opportunity to learn about mental wellness and take away tools and tips to help you in your daily life. You can earn one community service hour per workshop.

Mobile Library & Family Story Time

Tuesday, Nov. 22 @ 10am

Orange County Public Library’s Mobile Library will be popping in once a month at the Crown Valley Community Center.

The Mobile Library offers free on-the-go services including getting a library card, using hotspots, accessing information & resources, checking out books, and more!

This FREE activity will take place from 10am-12pm and family story time will take place at 10:30am. Please pre-register to save your spot!

Halloween Trick or Treat!

Monday, Oct. 31, 10am - 2pm

FREE

Come to the Sea Country Senior and Community Center on Monday, Oct 31, between 10am and 12pm for a fun trick-or-treat experience!

Stop by the front desk to pick up a themed bag so that you can collect the treats that are stored all around the building! Explore at your own pace and grab some candy at the Halloween-decorated doors! Fun for all age groups.

Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade

Saturday, Dec. 10 @ 10am

Save the date! Experience the unique sights and sounds of the Annual Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade! View more than 100 exciting entries including marching bands, floats, special guests, youth groups, equestrian units, exotic cars, military members, local heroes, and fun attractions. And no hometown holiday parade is complete without a dazzling entrance by Santa Claus!

This year’s special guests include:

- Grand Marshal: Fritz Coleman, Comedian & Legendary Meteorologist
- Celebrity Guest: Vikki Vargas, NBC4 News OC Bureau Chief
- Hometown Sports Celebrity: Julie Doyle, Orlando Pride National Women’s Soccer League
- Hometown Special Guest: Richard Burgi, Film & Television Actor

The parade takes place between Nueva Vista and Crown Valley Park. Bring chairs and take advantage of the free shuttle, available from the Federal Building parking lot off Dorine/El Lazo.

Chanukah Celebration & Menorah Lighting
