Lifeguards Needed Year Round; Certification Training Available Monthly

Back in school and looking for a job? Newly retired, but still looking for some income? Come join our aquatics family as a lifeguard! We have a series of American Red Cross lifeguard certification courses coming up this fall and winter for anyone ages 15 and older. Each course is 3-4 days, with the next one taking place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day Nov. 12-13 and 19-20.

Get Your Cheer on With Introductory Cheerleading Classes

Looking to get your little one into cheerleading? Our TumbleBunnies Cheerleading classes begin Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Kirksey Recreation Center. Teaching the foundation for future cheer squads, the 3-4, 5-7 and 8-10 year olds will cheer from 9:30-10 a.m., 10-10:45 a.m. and 10:45-11:30 a.m., respectively.

Learn What You Need to Kickstart Healthy Lifestyle Changes

Are you ready for a healthy change? Join Certified Wellcoach Nadene White 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Kirksey Recreation Center for a seminar discussing the steps necessary to make a healthy lifestyle change and to help determine how to get you closer to making healthy changes if you're not there or ready to be there yet. Discussion will surround barriers to your goals, how to combat them and how to make healthy changes last.

Holiday Childcare a Breeze with Winter Swoosh Camp

Planning ahead for the December holiday break from school? We may have you covered. Our Winter Swoosh camp allows you to pay-by-day for us to watch your kids from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily any of the days Dec. 26-30 and Jan. 2-6 at the Kirksey Recreation Center.

If you need us to watch your 5-12 year olds for one day, sign up for one day. If you need coverage for Tuesday-Thursday both weeks, sign up for those six days. With eight days available for a la cart registration, we’re here to help while providing your child(ren) with a fun slate of activities each day, from gym games to arts and crafts, swimming, LEGOs, the climbing wall (ages 6-12), and more!
