City Of Lomita E-Newsletter - December 2, 2022

On March 15, 2022 the City Council approved a resolution extending the City's existing emergency measures until further notice to correspond with the State and County reopening guidelines. These emergency measures can be changed at any time to coincide with further revisions to the State or Los Angeles County Health Officer's Order.

Visit the City of Lomita's standalone website dedicated to COVID19 https://lomitacoronavirus.info/ to stay up to date on Lomita programs and services.

TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY
SET TO TAKE PLACE TODAY RAIN OR SHINE!

Come celebrate the season with your family during the City of Lomita's annual Christmas Tree Lighting in front of City Hall today! Festivities will start at 5:30pm. Enjoy the music, snacks, snow, holiday performances, and take pictures with Santa as we wait for the countdown to the tree lighting with the Mayor and Council.

During the event, the Lomita Sheriff Station will once again be accepting donations for their annual Toy Drive! The community can help make the season bright again for deserving families in the community by bringing an unwrapped toy and dropping it in the dedicated bin.

The tree lighting ceremony will also kick off Santa's annual journey on his sleigh through the streets of Lomita. See the complete route below.

This year you can donate to Spark of Love, by dropping off your new, unwrapped toys or sports equipment at your local fire station, texting "SPARK" to 24365 to give, donating online at https://supportlafd.kindful.com/, or bringing your items to one of the Stuff-A-Bus events.

For more information and how to donate, visit https://fire.lacounty.gov/spark-of-love/.
