New Sweeping Trucks.
Same Dates. Same Times. Same Routes.

In case you missed it...beginning the week of April 3rd, Athens will provide street sweeping in Lomita. Sweeping and trash collection dates, times, and routes will remain unchanged for now.

Please continue to observe the posted two-hour parking restriction for street sweeping to allow Athens street sweepers to help keep our street clean and free of debris.

Street Sweeping Services Continue on Rainy Days - CLARIFICATION

Every effort is made to sweep the streets, even when it rains, and you can expect to see the street sweeping and parking enforcement team at work. Street sweeping is suspended ONLY when the city determines that rain intensity is too high for our sweeping efforts to be effective. In such cases, notifications will be posted on our social media and website, www.LomitaCity.com.

Our teams continue working during the rain to catch debris before it goes into the storm drain. It is always advised to move your vehicle in accordance with the posted 2-hour window indicating the street sweeping parking restriction to ensure you do not receive a parking ticket and get the cleanest possible sweep of your street.
