Honor a Veteran with a Personalized Brick at Melrose Vietnam Veterans’ Reflection Area
Red bricks denote a Vietnam Veteran while gray bricks denote all other service.

The City of Melrose invites families to honor the Veterans in their life, living or deceased, with an inscribed brick to be placed at the Vietnam Veterans’ Reflection Area memorial. The bricks will be added to the memorial ahead of the City of Melrose Veterans Day ceremony taking place on November 11, 2022.

“The tradition of placing bricks at the reflection area gives our community the opportunity to honor the courageous men and women of Melrose who served our country,” said Mayor Paul Brodeur. “A commemorative brick is one way of thanking them for their commitment to our country. We look forward to continuing to find other ways to honor our Veterans, such as community events and through the work of our Council on Aging and Veterans Services Department.”

Bricks are 4” x 8” allowing for three lines of text. Red bricks denote a Vietnam Veteran while gray bricks denote all other service. Bricks can be purchased for $150 with a check made out to “City of Melrose” with “Vietnam Reflection Area” in the memo line. Order forms are due by October 14, 2022, to the Veterans' Services Office at the second floor of the Milano Center at 201 W Foster St, Melrose, MA.
