Window Art Walk

October 8 – October 23

Beginning this Saturday, October 8, local businesses in downtown Melrose will display the artwork of more than 30 local artists in their windows. You can stroll the Main Street area and enjoy great art until the walk ends on October 23. Learn more about the Window Art Walk here.

City-Wide Yard Sale

October 8, 9 a.m. — 2 p.m.

Friends of the Milano Center will once again host its annual Melrose City-Wide Yard Sale this Saturday, October 8 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. This year, approximately 50 yard sales will take place simultaneously throughout the City as the event returns for the first time since 2019.

Yard sale maps, which indicate the locations of each yard sale location, can be picked up from the Milano Center. Maps can be picked up outside the Milano Center, located at 201 West Foster Street, in the "after hours box" outside. Maps are also available online. Learn more here.

Melrose Dance for Community

October 8, 2 p.m. —5 p.m. *Community dance lesson will begin at 2:30 p.m.

The family-friendly event, initiated by the Melrose Human Rights Commission and the Mayor’s DEI Advisory Task Force, is centered around community re-unification and will feature a chance to make art and watch live art, food, music, shopping, and free Salsa and community dance lessons to bring neighbors together by Melrose resident Jen Earls, founder of Dance for Humanity.

Mayor Paul Brodeur and Melrose Human Rights Commissioner and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Advisory Task Force Chair Joseph Phillips invite residents to join them for an afternoon of music, dancing, art and food. The event takes place this Saturday, October 8, from 2 p.m.—5 p.m. in front of City Hall on Essex St. Food will be available for purchase during the event.
