City Of Modesto Celebrates Clean California Community Days

Government and Politics

March 9, 2023

From: City Of Modesto

Join us for Clean California Community Days and spring into action by participating in one of Modesto’s three local events.

Clean California is a partnership with California Governor Gavin Newsom’s Office, CalTrans, and various communities across our state. The City of Modesto will be hosting three local clean-up events during this year’s campaign, which runs from March 17-March 27, 2023.

We invite you to join the movement as we take pride in our community and strive for a MoBeautiful Modesto.

3-Ways to Spring into Action

- MoBeautiful Community Clean-Up Day: March 18 - Official Flyer (PDF)
Modesto residents can join by planning a clean-up or just picking up litter in their neighborhood. We are here to help and can provide volunteers with litter pickers, safety vests, and trash bags. We can also pick up any litter you collect. Please make sure to contact (209) 577-5494 or email [email protected] to learn more.

- Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event: March 18 - Official Flyer (PDF
Modesto residents can bring acceptable items to our Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, March 18, from 9 am – 1 pm (or until full). Our collection event will be hosted at the Modesto Senior Center located at 211 Bodem Street, in Modesto. No more than 125 lbs. or 15 gallons of waste will be accepted, and all containers must be properly sealed. To learn more call (209) 577-5493 or visit our Household Hazardous Waste Website

- CA Clean: Modesto Drive Up + Drop Off: March 25 - Official Flyer (PDF
Modesto households and apartments, who bring proof of address, can dispose of bulky items during our next Drive Up + Drop Off event. Dispose of items – including mattresses, furniture, appliances, tires, televisions, computers, and other electric waste – easily and at no cost. To learn more call (209) 577-5494. Stay tuned for additional events hosted throughout this year.
