CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS SWORN INTO OFFICE

On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, the newly elected City Council Members Eric Alvarez, Nick Bavaro, and Jeremiah Williams took the oath of office during the swearing-in ceremony. The November 8, 2022, General Election was certified by the Stanislaus County Clerk Recorder, Registrar of Voters on Wednesday, November 23. The final canvass of ballots produced results in the races for City of Modesto Member, City Council District 2, District 4, and District 5. Eric E. Alvarez was certified as the winner of District 2, Nick Bavaro was certified as the winner of District 4, and Jeremiah Williams was certified as the winner of District 5. The three Members Elect took the oath of office during a special City Council Meeting last night in the Modesto City Council Chambers at 1010 Tenth St. in Modesto

NEW BLUE RECYCLING CONTAINER

Beginning this month residents will be receiving a new solid waste container to be used for recycling, including plastic, metal, and glass containers and clean cardboard. Collection is scheduled to begin in January 2023. To learn more visit our Solid Waste website.

BULKY ITEM COLLECTION

The City of Modesto offers its residential garbage service customers a convenient way to dispose of large bulky household items via the Bulky Item Collection Program. Each residential garbage service customer may have two pick-ups per calendar year. December 16th will be the last opportunity this year to schedule an appointment to have your large bulky items picked-up. Call your garbage company to schedule your appointment today!
