City of Modesto and CA State Controller Yee Partner to Host Business Resources Webinar

The City of Modesto in partnership with California (CA) State Controller Betty T. Yee will co-host a free small business webinar to help local business owners and entrepreneurs learn about important resources available to them from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on July 14, 2022.

Small business owners – and those looking to start a business – can learn about the federal, state, and local programs available to help their businesses succeed, including grants, loans, and contracting opportunities.

“As a supporter of Modesto’s small business community, I am enthusiastic about participating in this webinar to coordinate and leverage small business resources across State, County and City partner organizations. The attraction, retention, and expansion of businesses play an integral part in Modesto’s economic development program. The City of Modesto and our co-presenting local partners – the Modesto Chamber of Commerce (MCC), Opportunity Stanislaus (OS) and Valley Sierra Small Business Development Center (SBDC) - appreciate this opportunity to highlight small business support programs and services”, said Modesto City Councilmember Rosa Escutia-Braaton.

Along with Controller Yee, Modesto Councilmember Rosa Escutia-Braaton, MCC, OS, and Valley Sierra SBDC, representatives of many key agencies will be on hand to offer their expertise including the U.S. Small Business Administration, CA Department of General Services, CA Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, CA Office of the Small Business Advocate, State Franchise Tax Board, EDD, and the Secretary of State.
