Modesto Clean Up Day

Modesto MoBeautiful Cleanup Day is about much more than picking up trash and litter.
It’s a chance for Californians to join people around the world in expressing their respect for our earth, for the community to demonstrate its desire for a beautiful city, and a chance to come together with neighbors, family, and friends to accomplish something vital and worthy on behalf of our environment.

Join us Saturday, September 17 from 8 am-12 pm. Plan a group clean up or pick up litter in your neighborhood!

To learn more, visit our MoBeautiful Cleanup Day page.

City Manager's Monthly Update

The City Manager's monthly update to council & our community is now available!
This report includes information about grant applications and awards, financial reports, and updates to major capital projects. To view the July 2022 report visit the City Manager's Report website.

Mosquito Protection

To protect yourself and your neighbors against mosquitos, drain and dump mosquito-breeding sources from around your home. Anything that can hold water for more than a few days has the ability to produce mosquitoes. Protect yourself from mosquito bites by applying an EPA-registered insect repellent, like DEET, picardin, oil of lemon eucalyptus, or IR3535. Report any unusual mosquito activity, especially if they are aggressive daytime biting mosquitoes.

To request service, report standing water, request mosquitofish for permanent standing water, or notify us about neglected swimming pools, contact East Side Mosquito Abatement District by phone at (209) 522-4098 or visit the Mosquito Abatement District website.

Mayor In The Park

Mayor Sue Zwahlen is excited to be hosting monthly meetings in our parks. This six series event aims to invite residents to local neighborhood parks to learn more about our city departments and talk to your mayor. Each month we will be highlighting a different department. We hope you can join us and share any ideas with Mayor Zwahlen and our city staff. Our next meeting will be held September 15 at Enslen Park from 6:00pm thru 7:00pm. Please bring your own blanket or chair. To learn more, visit our Meet the Mayor in the Park website.
