Upcoming Downtown Events with Road Closures

Due to COVID-19 and the current guidelines from Santa Clara County and the State of California, events may be canceled or postponed. Please check with event organizers for further details.

- Morgan Hill Farmers Market  - Ongoing 
This event takes place every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Train Station parking lot at 3rd Street and Depot Street in downtown Morgan Hill. The parking lot is closed for the event, there is not an additional road closure.

- Sidewalk Saturdays - September 10, 2022 - November 26, 2022
This event takes place Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on East 3rd Street in downtown Morgan Hill. Dates include September 10 - November 26, 2022. There are no road closures for this activity. 

- Morgan Hill Downtown Association Brew Crawl (Plaza Use)
This event is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2022, in downtown Morgan Hill. There is no road closure for this event. However, the event will be utilizing the Plaza out front of the Parking Structure in Downtown on East Third. For event details, please the Downtown Association's website. 

- Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce Car Show
This event is scheduled for Saturday, September 24, 2022 in downtown Morgan Hill. Monterey Road between 4th Street and East Dunne Avenue will be closed between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Traffic control will be in place. The parking garage will remain open for parking. 

- Morgan Hill Downtown Association Safe Trick or Treat 
This event is scheduled for Monday, October 31, 2022 in downtown Morgan Hill. Monterey Road between Main Avenue and East Dunne Avenue will be closed between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Traffic control will be in place. The parking garage will remain open for parking with access from Depot Street. 

- Veteran's Day Run 
This event is scheduled for Sunday, November 13, 2022 beginning and ending in downtown Morgan Hill. There are no road closures scheduled for this event. However, there may be traffic delays as participants cross Monterey Road at Main Avenue, and at 1st Street. This event is hosted by Independence Day Celebration, Inc. 

- Holiday Lights Parade and Tree Lighting
This event is scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2022 in downtown Morgan Hill. The parade will stage on Depot Street and will proceed down Monterey Road from 1st Street to the Community and Cultural Center. Road Closures will begin at 4:00 p.m. and streets will reopen by 9:30 p.m. Road closures will be in place at Depot Street, Monterey Road, and all side streets between Depot and Monterey Road, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Streets. The parking garage will be open for parking. Entrance and Exit from the parking garage will not be available from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. when the parade is taking place. This event is hosted by Kiwanis Morgan Hill. 

- St. Catherine Church Our Lady of Guadalupe Procession
This event is scheduled for Sunday, December 11, 2022. There are no road closures for this event, but there may be traffic delays as the procession moves from the Community and Cultural Center through downtown to St. Catherine Church on Peak Avenue. 

Past Downtown Events (2022)

- Morgan Hill Downtown Association Wine Stroll (Plaza Use)
This event is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2022, in downtown Morgan Hill. There is no road closure for this event. However, the event will be utilizing the Plaza out front of the Parking Structure in Downtown on East Third. For event details, please the Downtown Association's website. 

- Private Ceremony (Third Street Creek Park Use)
This private event is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Downtown Third Street Creek Park. There is no road closure for this event and the park remains open for pedestrians. However, the event does take place within the park and will bring additional people to the downtown.  

- Mushroom Mardi Gras - May 28-29, 2022
The 2022 Mushroom Mardi Gras is scheduled for May 28-29, 2022. Setup and road closures will begin on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. Road closures include Depot Street between Main Avenue and Fifth Street, and the side streets of East 2nd, East 3rd, East 4th, and East 5th. Monterey Road will remain open. Westbound Dunne Avenue between Monterey Road and Butterfield Boulevard will be closed.

- Access to the parking structure will remain open with access from Monterey Road. A portion of the upper floor of the parking structure may be utilized for permitted resident parking. Residents of East 1st, East 2nd, East 3rd streets will have vehicle access to their homes during event hours, from Monterey Road. Proof of residency will be required to gain access through the road closure.  

- Sidewalk Saturdays - April 2, 2022 - June 26, 2022 
This event takes place Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on East 3rd Street in downtown Morgan Hill. Dates include April 2, 2022 - June 26, 2022. There will not be an event on May 28, 2022. There are no road closures for this activity. 

Morgan Hill Freedom Fest – July 3 and July 4, 2022

- The annual Morgan Hill Freedom Fest events are currently being planned for July 3, 2022, and July 4, 2022. Information about road closures for this event can be found on the Freedom Fest Website. 

- July 3rd, beginning at noon: Monterey between Dunne and Main, including partial side streets of 1st-5th on the East and West side of Monterey Road. This road closure will remain in place until approximately 3:00 p.m. on July 4, 2022. 

- July 3, 2022, beginning at midnight: Monterey between Wright Avenue and Dunne Avenue, Main Avenue to Peak Avenue, Peak Avenue to West Dunne Avenue, West Dunne Avenue to Monterey Road. Keystone Avenue, Del Monte Avenue South of Main Avenue to West Dunne Avenue will also be closed to traffic. This road closure will remain in place until approximately 3:00 p.m. on July 4, 2022.

- July 4, 2022: Murphy Avenue between San Pedro Avenue and Barrett Avenue will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. 

- July 4, 2022: Condit Road and Murphy Avenue between East Dunne Avenue and Tennant Avenue will be closed from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

- Beginning at noon July 4, 2022: San Pedro Avenue and Barrett Avenue between Murphy Avenue and Condit Road will be closed until 11:30 p.m. Condit Road will be ONE WAY ONLY until 11:30 p.m. Condit Road coming from Dunne Ave will be the entrance for the fireworks parking.
