Actions taken by the City Council Regular meeting on September 7, 2022, include:

- Ratified Resolution No. 21-029 Emergency Teleconferencing authorizing remote teleconference meetings of all City legislative bodies for the following 30 days in accord with the Ralph M. Brown Act
- Received Mayor’s Proclamation, Monterey Peninsula College 75th Anniversary
- Received Minutes of the August 17, 2022 City Council Closed Session and Regular Meetings
- Held second reading and adopted an ordinance to amend Pacific Grove Municipal Code (PGMC) Chapter 2.40, Conflict of Interest, to account for the addition, deletion, and modification of positions listed as “designated employees”; determine that, for the purposes of the City of Pacific Grove’s (City) Conflict Code, the City is the “agency;” approve the updated Conflict Code
- Received 2022 Sanctuary Annual Management Plan report
- Received report of emergency directives/modifications
- Received Beautification and Natural Resources Committee Minutes: July 19, 2022
- Received Economic Development Commission Minutes: June 9, 2022 and July 14, 2022
- Received Traffic Safety Commission Meeting Minutes: May 28, 2022, and July 26, 2022
- Directed the City Attorney to advise Council on a response to the League of United Latin American Citizens’ demand for district elections and authorized the Mayor to sign a legal services agreement with the law firm of Nielsen Merksamer Parrinello Gross and Leoni, LLP, for $50,000 and an end term of one year, to provide legal advice to the City Council in regard to the issues of the California Voting Rights Act
