Adopted Council Goals

he Paso Robles City Council recently adopted goals for fiscal years 2022-2024, and is in the process of developing a two-year budget to align with those goals. Goal areas come in six categories: Economic Development and Vitality, Infrastructure, Housing and Homelessness, Public Safety, Quality of Life Amenities; and Governance. The proposed budget will come forward to the City Council for adoption in June. View the Adopted Goals for 2022-2024.

City Budget Workshop

A varied list of projects and budget needs for the next budget cycle were outlined at a public hearing on May 31. Reports from each City department provided a financial overview of each division along with proposed staffing plans and supplemental funding requests designed to achieve the Adopted Goals for 2022-2024.  A preliminary budget overview outlined how to achieve those goals financially. View the Preliminary Budget Workshop presentation. The next budget discussion takes place at the June 7 City Council meeting with the final budget scheduled for discussion and approval on June 21.

Trash Pick Up Efforts

The City of Paso Robles is participating in a county-wide initiative to help decrease the amount of trash, especially plastic, that makes its way into our waterways and effects water quality on the Central Coast and in Paso Robles. The campaign asks county residents for help in getting and keeping trash out of local waterways. Residents who would like to participate can pick up trash on their own, adopt-a-street or volunteer for Salinas Riverwalk Cleanup days with Earth Shine. More information.
