Winter Storm Prep and Sandbags

Rainfall amounts from winter storms could be significant, which may cause local flooding. City Staff has taken steps to reduce the flooding where possible (i.e., drain cleaning, etc.) Should you wish to make sandbags to protect private property, the City has sand available at the City Streets Yard located at 1220 Paso Robles Street. More info

The City of Paso Robles spent 2022 innovating and collaborating - some might say pioneering. So did local businesses and non-profit organizations. All of it was made possible through the hard work of our local residents and employees, City staff, volunteers and elected officials. This video shows our year in headlines, along with photos of City employees and volunteers in action. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration

The City of Paso Robles will host a community celebration to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16 at City Park (11th St. and Park St.) in Paso Robles. This annual event is designed to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. King, focusing on his lifelong commitment to equality, unity, and peace. An opening ceremony at noon in the City Park gazebo will be followed by a march commencing at 12:30 p.m. from City Park. More info

City Wins Finance Award

We are pleased to announce that our Finance Department has received the Government Finance Officers Association's "Distinguished Budget Presentation Award" for its budget. The award represents a significant achievement by the City. It reflects the commitment of the City Council and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting.

- Housing Authority Board of Commissioners

Seeking Musical Talent for 2023

Paso Robles Recreation Services and the Paso Robles REC Foundation are currently accepting applications for interested performers for the 2023 Summer Concerts in the Park series, June 15 through August 24, 2023. 
Musicians interested in consideration for the 2023 season must submit a press kit by Friday, January 27, 2023 containing the materials listed here

Upcoming City Council Meeting

The next City Council meeting takes place on January 17, 2023 beginning at 6:30 PM. Residents can attend in person or listen live and view the presentations on the City's YouTube channel here. Beginner Co-Ed Futsal League

New Futsal players are invited to join this indoor soccer league designed for those just starting to play.  Players must register as a team of at least six players (two women required per team).  Tuesdays, January 3-31 from 6:30-9:30 PM in the Centennial Park Gym. $150/team.  For more information, please contact Norma at 805.674.0443.  Learn more and register here.

Art Park

In this after-school art enrichment class students will explore the world of both two and three-dimensional media, such as pencil, colored pencil, acrylic paint, and clay. Choose from Monday, Tuesday or Thursday class, 3:30-5:30 PM. Monthly, beginning January 5, January 10 or January 23 in the Centennial Park Acorn Room.  Prices vary, learn more and register here.

Ballroom Dance for Fun

Join the excitement of ballroom dancing! Improve your self-confidence, memory, balance, and many other physical benefits, and enjoy the fun dancing can provide. Begin the New Year with a swing in your step.  During the January session, students will cover the basics of swings and turns in Swing and Foxtrot. At this time, registration is being accepted for couples only, $67/couple. Wednesdays, January 11-February 1 from 7-8 PM in the Centennial Park Banquet Room.  Learn more and register here.

Baby Story Time 

Thursdays at 10 am
Story Hour Room

Nursery rhymes and songs designed to create positive connections between children, ages 0-18 months, and their caregivers. Caregivers learn about their child's development while children learn through purposeful play. Space is limited, so please pick up your free admission ticket at the Children's Desk before Story Time.

Library Book Group Reads Rules of Civility 

Wednesday, January 18, 6-7 pm

Preschool Story Time

Wednesdays, 10:00 am 
Story Hour Room 

The Paso Robles City Library has returned to offering weekly in-person Preschool Story Time for ages 3-6 with Youth Services Librarian Melissa Bailey. Join her on Wednesdays for stories, movement, music, and a craft activity. Children can practice their listening and socialization skills while having lots of fun. Space is very limited so come early and secure your seat.
